As a Virginia wedding photographer, I always feel so honored to document days that are not only beautiful, but truly meaningful—and Lauryn and Christian’s wedding at Morais Vineyards in Bealeton, Virginia was exactly that.
From the very beginning, the day felt calm and intentional in a way that carried through every moment. Morais Vineyards, with its vineyard views and European-inspired architecture, created such a timeless and elevated setting, but what really stood out was how personal and meaningful everything felt.
The morning started with getting ready moments, and it didn’t take long to see just how emotional and connected everyone was. One of my favorite memories was Lauryn’s first look with her bridesmaids just outside the cottage suite—it was such a genuine moment, full of joy, tears, and so much love.
Instead of a traditional first look, Lauryn and Christian chose to do a first touch. They stood back to back on the patio, holding hands, exchanging a few quiet words, and even taking a moment to pray together before the ceremony. It was simple, emotional, and incredibly meaningful—one of those moments you just don’t forget.
I always tell my couples to try and build in time to slow down during the day. Things move fast, and those small pauses together often end up being some of the most meaningful parts.

Getting Ready at Morais Vineyards & Winery
The morning unfolded with emotional and meaningful moments as Lauryn prepared for the day surrounded by her closest friends and family.

Portraits at Morais Vineyards & Winery
One of the things I love most about photographing a Morais Vineyards & Winery wedding is how versatile the space is. Every part of the venue feels intentional, while still relaxed enough to let the day unfold naturally.
Morais Vineyards & Winery in Bealeton, Virginia is one of the most sought-after Virginia winery wedding venues, and it’s easy to see why. The architecture, the light, and the overall atmosphere all come together in a way that feels both elegant and inviting.
For Lauryn and Christian’s portraits, we moved around the property and used a mix of locations. We spent time in the chapel, outside the cottage suite, and in the courtyard where the architecture adds such a clean, editorial feel.
We also made our way into the glass house and wine cellar, which gave us a more intimate, moodier look. Then we ended in the vineyard, where everything softened—those are always some of my favorite moments of the day.
That mix is what makes Morais Vineyards so special. Every space feels a little different, but it all comes together so naturally.

A Morais Vineyards & Winery Wedding Ceremony in Bealeton, VA
Lauryn and Christian chose to have both their ceremony and reception inside the Morais Vineyards ballroom, and it created such an intimate experience for everyone there.
You could feel how present everyone was during the ceremony—it was quiet in the best way, like everyone was really taking it in.
The Morais Vineyards ballroom is such a beautiful space for a Virginia winery wedding. The light, the architecture, and the overall feel of the room allow everything to feel elevated without taking away from the emotion of the moment.
As a Virginia wedding photographer, this is exactly the kind of setting I love—where I can step back and let things happen naturally without needing to over-direct.

A Celebration That Turned Into the Best Party
After such an emotional ceremony, the energy shifted into celebration, and the reception quickly turned into the kind of party everyone hopes for.
From the first dance to a packed dance floor, people were fully in it—laughing, dancing, and just enjoying being there. It felt effortless and genuine, which always makes for the best kind of photos.
Those are my favorite weddings to capture—the ones where people let go a little and really celebrate.
